CareWorks Modbury is a non-profit organisation dedicated to helping those in need within our local community.  Our focus is to assist people in their growth to live healthier, happier and more productive lives. The value of and the need for love must never be underestimated.  Many of the people who meet with the team of workers at CareWorks each day are looking especially for a listening ear and a loving response.  This is very difficult at times and all we can do is to offer support and walk with them on their often very painful journey. At CareWorks Modbury our dedicated team is committed to providing a compassionate and caring service to people in our local community.  Some ways we are able to do this are:
 

Youth & Family Counselling

Coming alongside our youth and their families in north-eastern Adelaide and helping them to put the pieces together as they journey to adulthood. This service focuses on equipping and supporting youth (aged 12 to 19 years) and their families during the challenging journey from childhood to adulthood. Our qualified counsellor is available to provide assistance to youth in a variety of areas including anger and anxiety management, maintaining healthy boundaries in relationships and social skills training.

Thrift Shop

The Thrift Shop services a wide variety of customers in our community by providing low cost recycled clothing and bric-a-brac. Being a wonderful link with the community, customers are able to enjoy seeing a friendly face and having a chat with the staff over a cup of tea or coffee. The shop is staffed by volunteers, with the funds received being used to support community projects and organizations.

Careforce Lifekeys

Careforce Programs are designed to meet the needs of hurting people in today’s society.  Through a system of small support groups people are able to share together in an environment of unconditional love, acceptance and confidentiality - all ingredients necessary for recovery. Courses run so far are:

Search for Life - identifies the source of so many human tensions and introduces the healing power of acceptance, value and belonging.

Search for Intimacy - directed at the needs of young singles, the parents trying to raise them, and “single again” people who need more than rules about sex.
